Membership:

Every Masonic organisation which accepts the Basic Principles and acknowledges CATENA's Constitution and General Standing Orders, may become a member of CATENA by completing a written application. This application must receive a majority vote by the Curatorium. The reasons for any rejection of this application should not be made known to the applying organisation.

The Constitution distinguishes between acceptance as a full member or as associate member. Only full members may nominate delegates with voting rights; furthermore, they pay the full annual membership fee.

The delegates of the associate members have the status of observer within the Curatorium and may be invited by the President to take part in the discussions. Additionally, as an associate member may apply for a reduced annual membership fee.

Authority:

CATENA has no authority over the member organisations who are independent Masonic groups. However, decisions of the Curatorium as regards matters of CATENA are binding for all members.
